Episode 72: Andy Zalaiskalns-Training The Military “Athlete”

In today's edition of The Podcast Andy Zalaiskalns sits down with us to discuss the role of strength coaches serve with special operators. We begin with a review of his path to working with special forces, and discussing the similarities and differences in dealing with special forces and college athletics. He then moves into the process he went through to build the program and relationships, the reasons for strength and conditioning coaches in the military, and how they incorporate the program with out intruding on the "military PT environment". He finishes up giving specific examples as to how he and his team have come up with the programming he's using with the special ops.
