The Drew Review- Legacy: What the All Blacks Can Teach Us About the Business of Life by James Kerr

drew-review“It all comes back to sweeping the sheds.” – J. Kerr

Legacy is a tremendous book that I finished in a little under 6 hours.  From start to finish I was amazed at the experiences Kerr found once he was completely immersed within the All Blacks inner circle.  This book will challenge you to find your inner leader to become a source of positivity from which you can help yourself or business succeed.  After reading Legacy it is easy to see why the All Blacks have been so successful and never drop off from the top.  If you want an entertaining book with time tested principles and easy to follow instruction on becoming a leader, then this book is for you.
LEGACYAt just a little under 200 pages and 15 chapters, Legacy is a quick and easy read. Each chapter represents a different “lesson” of leadership which makes up the All Blacks culture.  With titles such as; No Dickheads, Sweep the Sheds, Pass the Ball, and Embrace Expectations; it would be wrong of me to try and describe the content of these chapters. Kerr does a great job giving the reader take home points at the end of the book if you forget anything, but I highly recommend keeping this book close in case you need some quick inspiration.  Strength coaches will find in this book the tools to become a more impactful person in their respective organizations, which I am sure is something we can all agree is a great thing.
