My Thoughts Monday #20-Jay DeMayo, University of Richmond-Extra Workouts To Build Buy In

“What I am trying to do is get theses extra workout to have a little more ump, to have a little more pop. For them to be excited to do more. Because again, like Mike said, if all we are doing is what we are being asked to do we are doing the same as everybody else.”

This weeks My Thoughts Monday I discuss what is expected of our basketball student athletes, and how we handle “extra” work with them. I share the strategies that we have utilized to help improve their participation in extra workouts.  These have lead to not just improvement with the extra workouts but also with the countable time as well.  Diving in with them and grinding it out next to them has helped them enjoy the work and want to be involved in it more in all areas. I hope this helps you guys out as well.
