My Thoughts Monday #35-Jay DeMayo, University of Richmond-Stay Off Other People’s Lawns

“We gotta remember is there’s a chance, that that person who’s owning or running or working at that business, that gym or whatever they train people out of, they have to sell that to that kid. So, we need to understand that we need to be more open to talk to those people so we know the language they were speaking with those kids before they came to us.”

In this weeks My Thoughts Monday I discuss a situation that we recently had a run in with. When we are looking at the differences between the private sector (business people) and the public sector (colleges-pros-high schools) there is a a bit of tension because some people over step their bounds when making statements about what someone in the other part of the field does, and once you start to come off as threatening people grow animosity towards that part of the profession. The moral of this story is, stay off each others lawn and play nice.
